Halibut Hook Thru Finger - Hook Removal

Fishing near Montague Island in the Gulf of Alaska from the port of Seward, AK. Had a 115 lb halibut harpooned to the side of the boat. Tried to remove the leader when an 18/0 circle hook entered my finger and exited at the tip, THEN the fish started to thrash. The barb had to be slowly filed off to remove the hook. Stayed 4 more hours to fish! Then it was off to the Anchorage ER for repairs.
