The Richard Pryor Show - Titanic

A surprisingly taboo-pushing bit where Pryor is moving away from the wreck of the Titanic to safety, and a number of cocky white people are rescued by him only to thank him by calling him racial insults such as "Remus," "jigaboo," "jungle bunny," and "shinola." When the boat gets crowded and the Caucasians try to throw him off, the black survivor pulls out a gun and demands attention. This was perhaps the first time on a broadcast show in which we saw someone actually use verbal slurs against a minority in a direct manner, but the skit is so perfectly done and funny (particularly because Pryor's character refuses to allow being mistreated) that you can actually laugh without guilt.
