The daughter of Alan Jackson cofounded a company called NaSHEville more than two years ago that benefits orphans, widows, and victims of sex trafficking. Tragically, Mattie's husband, Nashville Assistant District Attorney Ben Selecman, died just weeks after the company began. Suddenly, Mattie was a widow as well. She turned her pain into a drive and dedication to help others heal from their own heartbreaks. Teaming with General Glenn Funk and the Nashville District Attorney's office where her late husband Ben worked, Mattie has become a galvanizing fund-raising force to help women in programs like Cherished Hearts, which helps victims of sex trafficking.
