SNS 329: Production Tapping 180 Tie Rods

These week I complete the batch of tie rods that I previously shown in SNS 327. I made some improvements to the fixture which decreased the total cycle time to complete. I'll show some machining of the UHMW used in the fixture, and some of the processes I used to try and make this job easier and more efficient to complete. The Flexarm machine did a fine job tapping all 180 of these parts!
