Diego Maradona loved Napoli just as much as they loved him – Mina Rzouki | Serie Awesome

Argentinian football legend and winner of the 1986 World Cup, Diego Maradona, has passed away at home in Tigre after suffering a heart attack. Mina Rzouki and Nicky Bandini join Kay Murray on Serie Awesome to look back on Maradona’s time in Italy with Napoli that saw him lead the club to their first-ever Scudetto in 1987. Rzouki says he was “simply beloved” in Naples and that love was reciprocated by Argentine star, who she says became an official Neapolitan because of the enormous impact he made in southern Italy.
