4 CROSSING ATTEMPTS. 4 FAILURES. Ukrainian Artillery Stopped Russia Every Time.

Days ago on the eastern front of Ukraine — sovereign Ukrainian territory under Russian invasion since February 2022 — Russian military engineers attempted to build a pontoon crossing over a river to push an armored column to the other side. It should have taken four hours. It took four attempts across two days and ended in total failure. The first pontoon bridge was destroyed by Ukrainian artillery while still under construction. The second was destroyed by FPV drones as the first vehicle rolled onto it. The third was hit by a precision strike while the engineering crew was still in the water. The fourth attempt never made it to the river — a HIMARS strike hit the pontoon convoy on the march, eight kilometers from the crossing point. Ukrainian artillery crews, drone operators, and rocket artillery teams had been watching every move. This is the complete breakdown: the tactics, the sequence of four destructions, the staggering financial cost, and what this failure means for Russian operational planning in this sector.
