D&D Ambience - City Sewer

The city above is a hive of activity, but there is a stillness below. At first, these sewers seem empty, save for the occasional rat. But there are footprints in the mud, far too big to be a rat, and certainly not human. Is that a symbol carved into the wall? I think something just brushed past my leg...
