Chop and Drop of Pigeon Pea

Hello Guys.

Few week ago im harvesting some of the pigeon pea leaf and branches (Phytoharvesting/Green Manure). Pigeon pea is one of the Nitrogen Fixer plant. It help to enrich the soil with nitrogen. By doing the chop and drop (mulching), the leaf and branches will rot and become fertilizer to the soil.

Morever, by cutting the branches, the root in the soil also will be broken down due to less crown at the tree. The root that been rot, will enrich more fertility in the soil.

The things that make it more amazing is, by time, the branches that been cut off, will induce the plant to grow more shoot. After a while, we may harvest more leaf and branches compare to the last harvest.
