We made a mother/daughter trip to Pigeon Forge. On a whim, we decided to go by and visit Parrot Mountain and Gardens. We've seen the advertisements for years. You even see one on a small billboard when you are leaving Dollywood. It's about 2-3 miles from Dollywood.

It is AWESOME. We had such fun. The birds are talkative and friendly. You even have several opportunities to interact with the parrots and macaws throughout your visit. A highlight may have been the nursery where you get to touch and hold the baby birds they are rearing for sale and for the sanctuary.

Do not miss it if you love birds. The have a variety of macaws, cockatoos, parrots, conures, toocans, and on and on. You can feed macaws in an area of the park. It took our breath away.
