Nirvana: Aaron Burckhard (First Drummer) Interview

Dave Grohl is Nirvana's most famous drummer, and rightfully so, he's the drummer on Nevermind & In Utero of course, as well as Unplugged and various other Nirvana recordings. But it's often overlooked that there were other drummers in the band as well, most notably Chad Channing who was the drummer during most of the Bleach era and who also wrote many of the drum parts for Nevermind. Dale Crover, Dan Peters & Dave Foster also performed drums in Nirvana. The original drummer though is Aaron Burckhard: Aaron Burckhard's drumming can be found on various bootlegs, and on the With The Lights Out boxset, notably on Mrs. Butterworth & Heartbreaker. In this video, Aaron shares some of his Nirvana experiences, discussing his involvement with songs such as Floyd the Barber, Pen Cap Chew, Mexican Seafood, etc. One of the noteworthy points Aaron makes in this video is that, according to him, he was involved in the early stages of 5 of the songs that eventually made it onto Incesticide. Those songs were not specified though in this video.
