ESA Echoes in Space History: SRTM

SRTM was a joint NASA-DLR research effort that flew a single pass radar interferometric imaging system. It had two antennas that allowed it to obtained digital elevation data on a near-global scale from 56° S to 60° N, and so generated the most complete high-resolution digital topographic database of Earth of its day.

Echoes in Space is the first Massive Open Online Course on Radar Remote Sensing, funded by the European Space Agency (ESA).
