Best places to eat in Hamilton, New Zealand

Hamilton city New Zealand aka "The Tron" as it is affectionately known to many Kiwis in NZ. Who would have guessed that within this cosy little city there is an array of great dining experiences and such scenic prettiness to uncover.

In this episode we'll show you some places to eat, where to stay in Hamilton, and we also visit Hamilton Gardens which is a huge park that features elaborately themed gardens from around the world.

Our first stop in Hamilton also marked the first time we've ever tried high tea. We visited New Zealand's only commercially grown tea estate - Zealong Tea Estate. If you enjoy drinking tea, you'll enjoy this award winning tea experience.

We heard that Hamilton has some fantastic Vietnamese food and so we sampled a classic Banh Mi and Pho from Saigon Noon. If you're after some yummy Vietnamese food in Hamilton, Saigon Noon is where to go.

Best restaurant in Hamilton, is a phrase used by many online reviewers to describe this next place so we had to try it for ourselves. Gothenburg Restaurant which sat right next to the mighty Waikato river was where we stopped off for dinner during our stay in Hamilton city.

To pair with the "best restaurant in Hamilton" we figured we'd also stop at the legendary dessert joint, Duck Island Ice Cream. Some people have claimed it as the best ice cream in New Zealand and so we definitely had to try it. So many flavours, so little stomach but we still managed to devour 3 scoops. Sorry for the poor dub on this section, the original audio was unusable!
