Why is it free? We believe Jesus command, "Freely you have received, freely give."

For thousands of years, people have struggled through pain and suffering.
Many suffer because of… War. Murder. Theft. Disease. Hunger. Abuse. Corruption. Greed. Pollution. Poverty. Broken marriages and families.
Everyone wants these problems to go away, yet after thousands of years of scientific and technological advancement, we are facing these problems on a scale greater than we have ever seen.
So what then is the answer?
Jesus gave the answer in five simple words… “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Jesus called it the second great commandment (Matt. 22:39-40):
He said, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.””
In this important passage, Jesus explained that much of the Bible is summarized by these two great commandments.
Both are extremely important, but in this video we will focus on the second.
The Bible says that “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) Love is central to God’s character and who He is. The Bible also explains that if we follow His instructions and strive to develop His character, then the result will be prosperity, good health, and peace.
If it’s so simple and so many people know of the principle, why hasn’t mankind been able to implement it?
Because mankind has largely rejected the teachings of the Bible, which explains to us what love even IS and HOW to love our neighbor.
In this video we will explore four principles to better understand how to love your neighbor as yourself:
ONE: God’s commandments teach us how to love our neighbor as ourselves.
The Bible directly defines love as keeping God’s commandments (1 John 5:3): “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments.”
John repeated this principle elsewhere, saying, “And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments” (2 John 1:6).
The Ten Commandments tell us how to love God and how to love people.
The first four show us how to love God, while the last six teach us the proper way – God’s way – to love our neighbor. (Exodus 20:12-17). These six and be summarized as:
Honor your father and mother.
Do not murder.
Do not commit adultery.
Do not steal.
Do not lie.
Do not covet.
If mankind followed these six simple commandments, we would solve most of the world’s problems.
TWO: We should give of ourselves to serve others
Jesus explained this with the famous parable of the good Samaritan. In the parable, a Samaritan had compassion on a man who was robbed, badly beaten, and left to die on the side of the road. The Samaritan noticed him and then went out of his way to provide him with lodging, food, and money, and treated his wounds. In this parable, Jesus taught the importance of recognizing and fulfilling people’s needs, specifically showing that we must give selflessly of our own time, energy, and resources.
Performing these actions is a deliberate choice.
James says, “If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,’ but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?” (James 2:15-16).
This means helping other people actively, diligently, and sacrificially, especially those who have significant needs or can’t provide for themselves. In fact, the Bible says that a primary part of “pure religion” is to help widows and orphans who have great needs (James 1:27).
But the commandments and the actions by themselves are not enough.
So the third aspect of loving your neighbor as yourself is:
THREE: Our attitude must be sincere.
Sometimes we can do good things for people in a rude or unloving way, or with a wrong motivation.
For example, someone could do a good deed to be noticed by someone they want to impress rather than sincerity of heart.
Jesus said, “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them…. do not sound a trumpet before you… But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret.” (Matthew 6:1-4).
Of course, it is good to help others, but God wants good deeds done with godly, loving motivation, not selfish motivation.
In 1 Cor 13 Paul said, “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor… but have not love, it profits me nothing.”
In verses 4 through 7, we learn how real love does not, quote, “parade itself,” but is patient, kind, unselfish, and it is not jealous, rude, or arrogant.
In other words, real love does not just involve the actions of helping others, it includes having a right and sincere attitude behind those actions.
