Equipe Classic Racing Castle Combe LIBRE Race 2 Classic & Retro Race Weekend 2021 MGB in the Rain

Footage from the Equipe Classic Racing Castle Combe LIBRE Race 2 Classic & Retro Race Weekend 4th July 2021. I made a better than I did on Saturday to just about hold position of the line. We then had a few good laps of racing before the pitstops.

After the mandatory pitstops the field spread out slightly and the rain on various parts of the circuit certainly made things interesting. Towards the end I was catching Larry Tucker in the Ford Mustang, but needed a few more laps in order to pass him. Annoyingly the race was cut short by 5 minutes after an incident in the race before ours! The cameras did run out before the end of the race, but most of the action was captured.

I was delighted to finish P3 in the Libre race, it was a combined grid with both Pre '63 and the 50's race. I'd have to say it was probably my favourite race to date as it had a bit of everything, close racing, dry conditions and wet conditions all in 35 minutes.
