Ash Barty's mindset coach Ben Crowe on Wimbledon - and some secrets of her success | The Drum

Tennis world number one Ash Barty has made no secret of the significance winning the 2021 Wimbledon in particular would have for her.

This year is the 50th anniversary of Evonne Goolagong Cawley's first win at Wimbledon when she became the first Indigenous woman to win the competition and Ash Barty, another Indigenous woman, has often described her as a mentor.

In 2018, Ash Barty made an abrupt exit from Wimbledon after losing in the third round.

This became a turning point in her career and precipitated a huge change in outlook - something she credits to her mindset coach, Ben Crowe.

He joined ABC's The Drum to discuss her experiences, her strategies - and why we don't need to be elite athletes to incorporate them into our lives.
