The Electoral College: Why It’s More Important Than Ever

In this video, I respond to Tim Walz and Kamala Harris's call to abolish the Electoral College in favor of a popular vote system. While the idea of direct democracy sounds appealing to some, the reality is much more complicated (what with the average American being kind of stupid, and all). With alarming statistics showing that a significant portion of Americans lack a basic understanding of (most things) let alone how our government works and/or the rights guaranteed by the Constitution, is it really wise to place our elections in the hands of the uninformed?

What do you think? Should we leave the election outcomes to a simple popular vote? Were the founding fathers and framers of the constitution wrong? Is the average American more intelligent than I'm giving them credit for? Where do *you* think chocolate milk comes from?!?!
