Septic layout for small off grid house

This is our install of our DIY two barrel septic system at the mokuna house. We have used two 55 gallon barrels with 4" ABS pipe for the septic system. The leach field is made of perforated pipe and 2" drain rock. Make sure to cover the leach field with landscaping fabric. Also avoid large trees around the septic system so the roots don't destroy your system.
