Rugged Fall Style

It's easier to dress well in the fall than any other time of season, so I though it would be fun to make things interesting: one outfit including boots and outerwear, one store, under $1,000, while keeping things mostly made in America or another country with a high standard of quality. This may seem easy, but just try it yourself!
I've wanted to try Rhodes boots since I first listed them as more affordable alternatives to the Red Wing Iron Ranger. These are blake stitched which means they're more flexible than a Goodyear Welted boot yet still re-soleable. In fact, these are a really good option if you're transitioning from the world of sneakers to boots since they won't be as stiff as some of the north west work boot brands. A Danite-style sole keeps it sleek, and while this style of sole doesn't have a ton of traction, for 99% of people walking on asphalt and concrete it will be just fine. A sleek yet rugged boot with a price tag that's easy to love.
The great thing about this jacket is that it's cut nice and trim in a familiar pattern. This waxed sailcloth is patina heaven, and will look even better in years to come. It's waxed on both sides with Martexin and lined with a cozy striped blanket material. This is the perfect layer for fall weather, and I really dig that they even list where the components came from before it was all put together in Los Angeles. This is a perfect mid-weight jacket. Mid-weight jackets sometimes aren't enough early in the morning or late at night, so you've gotta layer-up. Another made in USA product from Flint and Tinder, the 10-year hoodie is beefier than any hoodie I've worn in the past. It also fits much differently with a trim cut and more structured build rather than the pajama-like billowing silhouette of most hooded sweatshirts. 23-oz poly-cotton fleece, a double-lined hood, a YKK zipper, and branded metal tips make this the nicest hoodie I've ever owned.
