HOW TO TRAPPIN IN ＪＡＰＡＮ : Underground

Rough live cut of me mixing the audio and video effects for the upcoming TRAPPIN IN JAPAN vol.3 mix. Most of the hardware being used is out of frame, the main device you see in the middle is the OPTI GLITCH decoder. The rest being used is described below.

Additional Background
The Lost Tapes / Underground Trappin in Japan mixes will be short tapes highlighting underground phonk, vaportrap, lofi hip hop, vaporwave and experimental bass artists. The visual aesthetic is a throwback to my childhood of watching bootleg anime VHS tapes and sneaking to watch scrambled Pay-per view channels.

--How It's Made:
This mix was created using a Playstation 3, Gator Gear 2 modified Archer Super Video Processor, DR-880, and a Pioneer DDJ-SB3 controller. I spent many years professionally testing and sometimes breaking analog video hardware. I have a long time appreciation for distortion and video synthesis and I have finally been able to create a setup that can allow me to create video and audio mixes for live shows in a way that can be performed as opposed to just playing a pre-made set with some minor audio tweaks and mixing(most dj sets). This is an example of the resulting video of a series of short live sessions I will be doing until I perfect this craft.
