MICK HOWARD UK LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHER
I’m Mick Howard, a UK based landscape photographer with a passion for capturing the beauty of the world through my camera lens. I’m currently living in a small town in North Yorkshire, surrounded by rolling hills and dales and can often be found photographing the many beautiful landscapes and waterfalls in the area. I developed an early appreciation for the natural world and its breath-taking vistas. I later started taking photos with a second hand Praktica BX20 35mm SLR film camera and learned from my mistakes. During those early photography years I quickly realised that I had a natural talent for capturing the essence of the landscapes and nature that surrounded me.
My thirst for knowledge and my desire to improve my craft led me to apply to the British army photography branch studying photography at the renowned Defence School of Photography. There, I honed my technical skills, learned about PR photography, and was exposed to a variety of styles and approaches. However, I never lost sight of my original inspiration: the beauty of nature.
I have been extremely lucky to have travelled widely to capture some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes including Iceland on six separate occasions. Most recently with my camera in hand I have captured some of the stunning vistas in the Italian Dolomites. But perhaps the most meaningful reward for me is the knowledge that my images and vlogs may inspire people to appreciate the beauty and fragility of our planet.
Through my art, I invite you to see the world in a new way, to appreciate the majesty of nature, and to consider our role in preserving it for future generations!! So please do Subscribe and follow along on my landscape photography journey…..
