Siem Reap High School Alum Encourages Positivity and Thoughtful Choice of Majors

PHNOM PENH – The Grade 12 national exam results will be announced on September 20. Saing Muylin, a graduate in Banking and Finance, hopes that juniors stay positive and not let the results define who they are.

For those still exploring their preferred university majors, Muylin encourages them to follow their hearts, seek advice from seniors, and avoid blindly choosing a major they have no interest in.

Muylin graduated from 10 January 1979 High School in Siem Reap province and bravely moved to Phnom Penh to pursue her two bachelor’s degrees alone. Acknowledging the limited opportunities for volunteering and computer literacy in her province, she made the most of the opportunities in the capital to develop both personally and professionally.

Her hard work paid off. She received a one-semester scholarship at Grand Valley State University in Michigan, USA, through the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) in 2023, graduated with high honors in Banking and Finance from Paragon International University, and recently completed her second bachelor’s degree in education, specializing in Teaching English as a second language.

Through her dedication and strong commitment, she hopes juniors will ask themselves clear questions about why they pursue particular paths.
