Queretaro

Welcome to Queretaro! The last two videos we showed you San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato with the idea of presenting a few towns in the vicinity of San Miguel de Allende.

We will be spending the night at Criol hotel! Also a couple of local spots before we take you to the best coffee roaster and brewery in town!

INFO ABOUT QUERETARO:

Once the capital of Mexico, Querétaro is not quite yet on people’s radar and we’re not really sure why. It is such a beautiful city and one of the safer areas of Mexico to explore.

It’s known for its well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture such as a striking pink stone aqueduc

Even though Queretaro is on of the smallest states in Mexico, it’s diverse geographically, with ecosystems varying from deserts to tropical rainforest, especially in the Sierra Gorda, which is filled with micro-ecosystems.

2.3 million people live here in Queretaro, not necessarily in the downtown area but in the surrounding suburbs. It’s very modern with large malls and highways circling the city. The population is hugely catholic so they are quite conservative here.
