On 22 April 2025, the Pahalgam terror attack took place in Baisaran Valley, Jammu and Kashmir, when 2 to 7 heavily armed terrorists entered the tourist meadow through nearby forests and opened fire on civilians between 1 pm and 3 pm. The attackers used AK-47s and M4 carbines, targeted tourists gathered for pony rides and picnics, and k!lled 26 people while injuring more than 20, making it the de@dliest civilian attack in India since 2008. Victims were identified based on religion, with men separated and shot at close range, while panic spread across the valley as people tried to escape by climbing fences or hiding. Most of those k!lled were tourists from across India, and one local resident died while trying to protect others. 

We pay our deepest respect and condolences to every innocent life lost in this Pahalgam attack, a tragedy that shook Jammu and Kashmir, India, and the entire nation. These were ordinary people, families, newly married couples, travelers who came searching for peace but faced unimaginable violence.
