Yamaha MT 09 Review 2019

Wow, the Yamaha MT 09 provides a lot of fun for a pretty small price tag of £8399. The MT 09 has great power delivery, a quick shifter and the handling to tie it all together. I took out the Blue Yamaha MT 09 however it is also available in Ice Fluo or Tech Black. One thing I liked about the bike a lot was the ease of riding, the MT 09 is fast with great power however it all feels very manageable.

I had a few minor gripes with the bike however I think these are mostly down to my own anatomy and other riders may not even notice. The throttle as an example felt quite thin and the seat quite hard to start. Since filming this ride I have tried out the comfy seat option which is very nice and worth considering.

The exhaust sound from the Yamaha MT 09 is ok but I would probably look around for an after market exhaust if it was a bike I owned.

The MT 09 has 3 different rider modes however I couldn’t feel a big difference between the medium and high power settings.

Overall it’s a solid bike and I would say worth having a ride of if you are considering this style of motorbike.
