Edit My Photo - January 2023

Polona was the winner of the December 2022 Edit My Photo challenge in the Unleashed Education community.

As the winner of the challenge, Polona submitted an image of a gorgeous Toller posing on what looks like a derelict boat, complete with colours and textures galore! Unfortunately though, the flat, even lighting doesn’t bring out all those lovely textures as well as harsher light would, so we have to work hard in the edit, to do the scene justice.

In the edit, we’ll be doing minimal adjustments in Lightroom and moving quickly on to Photoshop, where I’ll use blending modes on multiple layers to boost the colour and detail. We’ll finish the image off in a rather surprising way to end up with a grungy, arty, storytelling image!
