Bird of Time

Standard dynaflite ARF with a motor added. Flight at Chilliwack Electric Flyers site. This seems to be my most popular video. People are still very interested in this plane. I think the flight characteristics of this large motorized glider are well illustrated here. Because it is only rudder and elevator and of considerable size, it is slow to turn at landing speed. In a cross wind, flying attitude has to be right before the plane is on the final approach. The crash here (between 9.00 to 10.00) illustrates this well as I try to correct but too late.

Its ability to penetrate the wind without losing height is shown (1.16) as are its downwind turning and stall characteristics, use of sideslip (4.55) to loose height and ability to use thermals (6.19) to extend unpowered flight.
Lots of comments that I haven't answered. May I respectfully direct you to a thread I started on RCGroups

I hope you find more useful info here.
