The comeback kid belly button cyst. Abscess with big central cyst chunk drained and removed.

This one looked like a belly button, but it is not, it’s an inflamed cyst on the back that turned into an abscess almost a year ago and has now returned. Once this one dries up she will return to cut out the dry cyst sac, if it returns, so she doesn’t get another abscess. This cyst was almost pushing itself through the skin because it had so much inflammation. It was a hybrid procedure because I usually do not put stitches in an abscess, but the cyst poking through and extra skin on the edges necessitated a larger cut which I closed about 80% to still allow for drainage of the inflammation/fluid over the next few days.
