BA & Virgin A350s depart Heathrow TOGETHER!

To mark the return of UK passenger flights to the USA, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic teamed up for the first ever commercial dual take-off from London to New York! Both airlines decided to use the Airbus A350 to mark this special occasion. The aircraft is known for using 25% less fuel (thus also emitting a quarter less of the emissions than older aircraft) and is capable of flying more than 8,000 nautical miles!
VIRGIN3N touched down at 1051 hrs local time with SPEEDBIRD1 touching down at precisely 1100 hrs!
