plustek ePhoto vs Epson FastFoto for scanning old snapshots

(Hint: Don't buy it) I've had a few mention this scanner, so I thought I would check it out as an alternative since it's quite a bit less expensive than the Epson FastFoto 680 ($200 instead of $600). After working with it I was quite disappointed, especially in the software. I can't recommend it.
