The Center for Bioelectronic Medicine

Bioelectronic medicine may change the way we treat diseases, injuries and conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, diabetes, paralysis, bleeding, and even cancer. For nearly 20 years, researchers at the Feinstein Institutes have leveraged internal capabilities, as well as collaborations with some of the leading forces in science, innovation, and medicine, to discover neural pathways and develop nerve-stimulating technologies to treat disease. These visionary leaders in the field have developed devices to control the electrical signal used by the nervous system to communicate information. This approach may deliver therapies superior to drugs in terms of efficacy, safety, and cost, without significant side effects.
