Could giving primary school children jobs they’d never dream of change the way they see their futures?

In a dramatic social experiment, designed with leading experts in social mobility, three company bosses have taken an extraordinary leap of faith: to allow a group of 7-9 year old kids to join their business for a week in the hope that their brief experience of adulthood will broaden their horizons and open their eyes to careers many of them never knew existed.

In this episode, six children from very different backgrounds work for a week at Montezuma’s an artisan chocolate business near Chichester. The kids must design a brand new box of truffles for Father’s Day and try to sell them to a major retailer. It’s a challenge they can only accomplish by working as a team – and as 8 year old managers Constantin and Harriet soon discover, being the boss isn’t easy.
