Humanity Is Beginning to Create Artificial Intelligence Using Living Human Neurons in Laboratories
Many people are already asking:Could these machines one day feel pain, fear, or consciousness?
But perhaps there is an even deeper question:
Why is there so much concern about the possible future suffering of machines…while billions of biological beings are already born condemned to suffering at this very moment?
All sentient beings will inevitably:experience pain, fear, loss, aging, and death.
Even so, humanity continues bringing new beings into existence without their consent and feeding billions of them through the exploitation and killing of other species.
Perhaps true evolution is not only about creating more advanced AI.
Perhaps it is about developing enough consciousness to reduce the suffering of the sentient beings that already exist.
