Dr Squatch Pine Tar bar soap

For those who aren’t aware on 7/23 an allegation was made against the Soap company known as Dr Squatch , it was asserted that they didn’t actually make their own soaps . I’ve spent time researching the issue and am now of the opinion that the allegation is true .

One of my Subscribers mentioned that another company known as “the soap guy “ was actually the wholesale producer of Dr Squatch’s soaps . After acquiring products from “the soap guy” the similarities between the products are too great to be dismissed.

The pictures and names of some of the common soaps from both companies are identical .

The soap guy is based in the state of Indiana , Dr squatch originated in Indiana ...in the past Dr Sqatch did acknowledge the similarities between some of their shared products but claimed and i quote from them “While we are aware of the "Soap Guy" company (due to similar accusations and questions we received over the years, we do not purchase our soap directly from this company (though they offer similarly named products, their formulas are different and thus we have not sought further legal action regarding this.

Yeah i call bullshit on that because “soap guy” a wholesale manufacturer of soaps started in 2002 and Dr Squatch started up in 2013 . ( let me point out that in their answer they stated “ we do not purchase our soaps directly “ So then is a third party employed then for deniability ? LOL)

I pinged the soap guy on Instagram about this but received no response , i wouldn’t expect the wholesaler to rat out their customers .

I Made an attempt to Question Dr Sqatch , they have been less than forthcoming . They stated to me that they have their own facilities ,when i asked for the addresses of those facilities so i could independently verify this ,they went quiet on me .
While i accept that Middlemen are part of the marketplace , what I find unacceptable are the ridiculously high prices that Dr Sqatch charges it’s customers … In volume, soaps purchased from “the soap guy” can be as low as 1.17 a bar , if you factor in the cardboard packaging that Dr Squatch throws on their soaps i doubt the products cost them more than 1.75 a bar . I had bought their soaps in the past and now knowing how marked up they are, i went through my records and low and behold I PAID FOR SHIPPING!!!!!

I’ll give this to them , they’ve done an incredible job with marketing. I can’t hate on them too hard for exploiting an underdeveloped market segment , however i’m betting that many of their customers are going to be outraged if they were to ever find out just how hard they’ve been overcharged .

It’s not my intention to cause significant damage to Dr Squatch but it is my hope that after rolling out information that brings their business practices to light they will be forced to lower their prices to something more reasonable . (also someone needs to remind them that they should address the complaints against their company on the BBB website , having an F isn’t a good thing)

I will at a later date roll out a more thorough explanation with even more information in a video so stay tuned .
