2nd year medic in a pandemic | week in the life
Hi everyone!
My name is Maika and I'm in my second year of medicine at King's College London.
This video includes themes of:
• second year of medical school
• effects of COVID on teaching
• effects of COVID on placement
• working part-time at Apple
• general daily life

Instagram: @medicalmaika
TikTok: @maikammendoza
Depop: @maikammendoza (pls buy my stuff)
Camera: everything filmed on my iPhone 11 Pro Max
Music: NOT my own. An inspiring lofi mix from YouTube.
As usual, this took me way longer to edit and upload than I planned, but what can I say? Second year is no joke :'( It's been a minute since my last YouTube video, so thank you to everyone who has stuck around and all my new subscribers!
This video shows a week in my life. I filmed this in week 2 of this semester and I was (clearly) still settling in. Unlike many of the other medics on YouTube, I do not study 24/7. I intentionally did NOT plan my week at all and decided to vlog whatever I decided to do at the time. Sometimes I do plan my week/tasks however sometimes I don't. And this video shows one of THOSE weeks.
I will add time stamps for everyone who wants a quick overview:
