Plane Spotting at Vienna Airport | 14th November 2022

A cold, cloudy, foggy and windy day at Austria's largest and busiest airport. I had about 3 and a half hours of a connection before my next flight, and while I could've stayed airside, I opted to enter the country, partly to get another stamp in the passport and also to head up to the landside spotting terrace which offered a fantastic view of the apron action in the spectacular fast moving low cloud conditions!

My main goal was to film Austrian Airlines' brand new A320neo OE-LZN which I captured taxiing in from Heathrow, look carefully as it has brand new A220 style landing lights that no longer extend and retract from under the wing!

Other highlights included an Anadolujet 737 MAX operating a Turkish Airlines flight, a Silk Way 747-400F and an Eva Air Boeing 787-9 being towed to stand, these last two being filmed from the terminal.
