Sometimes in wrestling, an idea or an opportunity with fall in a booker’s lap that seems like it can’t help but be a home run. Take the rise of Hulk Hogan in the 80’s Austin vs. McMahon in the 90’s, or more recently, Cody Rhodes jump from AEW to WWE earlier this year. That said, sometimes such ideas will end up being a miss. And while this can happen for a variety of reasons, it doesn’t change the fact that they represent some of the most frustrating moments to look back on now as we all wonder what might have been.
