The Future of Kids' Mental Health: What Caregivers Need to Know
Children’s mental health is on everyone’s mind. Access to services continues to be a barrier for families. This year, the Connecticut General Assembly passed three bills aimed at improving children’s access to mental health services. What does this mean for you?
An expert panel will help parents and caregivers gain a better understanding of the range of emotional and mental health issues facing all of our children with a special emphasis on under-served populations. This presentation will outline what is in the new legislation and how it will affect services offered at schools, hospitals, community-based programs and in your pediatrician’s office.

- Dr. Rob Keder, Developmental Pediatrician-Connecticut Children’s
- Dr. J. Craig Allen, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist- VP of Addiction Services, Behavioral Health Network Hartford Health Care
- Allison Matthews-Wilson, LCSW, Director, Center for Care Coordination
- Howard Sovronsky, LCSW, Chief Behavioral Health Officer- Connecticut Children’s.
