PMBOK Guide 7th Edition: Disaster Waiting to Happen?
*2022 UPDATE: Hardly anyone is using this book on its own, to train their companies and teams. It is in essence a waste of member funds and time. The principles are a good addition to the knowledge base, but the domains and the badly presented information muddies the water. ## Many of us have spent years volunteering to craft this framework
## The PMBOK Guide content today was contributed by thousands of volunteers
## The PMI suddenly and abruptly are tearing down what thousands of us have developed over the years
## This is in direct contrast to the spirit of stakeholder engagement the PMBOK Guide espouses
## Many of us fought hard to master this body of knowledge and get certified for our LIVELIHOOD and promotion. Now they want to just do away with this on a whim?
## No specifics are ever provided in them making monumental changes like the current horrendous logo and branding changes and many other monstrous changes they are recklessly making.
## I am speaking out because I care for the thousands I have brought to this model in my training and coaching.
## I think this change will not only destroy their hopes and confidence but also destroy what the 5 founders established.
## This is utterly reckless in my opinion as a project management trainer, REP and practitioner. I am NOT buying this sham of an update!
## Those doing this are not project managers nor do they love project management. This is being borne out of other selfish interests. PMPs - comment on the current outline and express your displeasure!:
