CUTE bushbaby struggles to wake up - Unusual funny monkey like creatures | Kruger National Park

Cute sleepy Lesser Bushbaby doesn't want to wake up and leave it's nesting log near Kruger National Park. These funny small creatures, look like monkeys, are mostly nocturnal and have big eyes.

Long description: Several years ago we put up a sisal nest box in a tree outside our office window. During the first year it was occupied by a family of Crested Barbets that subsequently kept anything else that appeared during the day at bay. However in 2013 it was taken over by a family of Lesser Bushbabies or Galagos that moved in under cover of darkness, and they have been there ever since. During the day one member of the family will spend a large part of the day observing the outside world from the nest entrance, occasionally actually falling asleep on the job, or moving back inside for a break. It is the same one that reappears a little later to take up sentry duty? We wish that we knew. Often the little creature would hang out of the box and peer all around at whatever was moving below or to the side of the box. Occasionally birds would come to investigate the entrance only to find it occupied. The more adventurous Green Woodhoopoes would collect small insects from the surface of the box and even climb inside for a short while probably much to the horror or maybe disgust of the bushbabies, but 15 seconds or so later would come out and move on to another feeding site on a nearby tree, and eventually the “sentry” would reappear apparently unperturbed.
