Feels like deja vu.

In 2002, few knew that the perfect-storm of opportunity was brewing in the bond trading world.

The Fed had set a historically low discount rate of .75%, but by 2006 rates shot up to 6%.

In 2007, the discount rate was down to .5%, and one year later, in December of 2008 the discount rate was lowered to 0%.

On March 6, 2009 the stock market hit its lowest point, a drop of 54% from its peak.

While the world grappled with a crumbling economy after the Dot.com Bubble, I discovered an exciting new approach trading bonds.

It seemed almost unbelievable - to make more money than ever before while everyone else felt financial pressure.

What a fortunate situation I found myself in.

From the start of my career it was about being in the right place at the right time.

I don’t say this to boast, but I had tremendous success early.

I made $1.5m as a 21 year old trader in the Nasdaq pit in Chicago… and for the next 4 years I did the exact same thing.

5 years in a row making over 1 million dollars.

I was a top trader, making more money than my peers and earning their respect. I wasn’t special.

I was in the right place at the right time.

My trading experience truly skyrocketed though when a highly-reputable futures firm scooped me up with proven industry leaders at its helm - it changed everything about who I am today as a trader.

Working at this firm was different from other trading places I had seen before.

They had strategies that appeared weird at first, yet proved to be incredibly rewarding once mastered.

I knew I was lucky to be in position to learn this trade.

Trading Bonds offered something different from anything I'd ever experienced — a curiosity which kept me captivated and convinced me of its potential rewards.

My first month at the new company whizzed by like a blur as I quickly mastered their specialized trading style, using previous trading skills I developed as a Nasdaq floor trader I quickly leaping to a top 10% performer at this growing firm.

As word spread about my uncanny understanding of relative value trading methods, traders throughout the firm looked at me for guidance. My passion for teaching kicked-in and I eventually became responsible for training and managing the firms top producing traders.

Two years later, I was now the 3rd most profitable trader at a firm that now employed hundreds of traders in 3 different states.

Because I was in the right place at the right time.
