King Charles visits the Forêt Experimentale (Experimental Forest) at the University of Bordeaux to hear about the devastating impact of last year’s forest fires and how the community has recovered.

The Experimental Forest allows researchers to study trees and plants in simulated conditions, which imitate the kind of extreme weather patterns the world has experienced as a result of climate change. Researchers hope they will be able to better predict, mitigate or avoid devastating events such as forest fires in the future through the data they collect.

King Charles has been on an official visit to France this week.
