This ever-growing city – host to the Expo 2017 world fair – offers a glimpse into a town of tomorrow. Nur-Sultan is the capital of Kazakhstan. Astana is its previous name. It has been renamed several times. Previous names include Tselinograd, Akmola, Astana, and Nur-Sultan.
