Does our robot have bird legs?

We aren't just mimicking human or animal form. Digit is a human-centric robot. Which means it's designed to get work done in our spaces, working right alongside us. After 20 years of bipedal locomotion research and studying how people and animals walk, we designed legs that excel at dynamic stability.

Our co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Jonathan Hurst shares insight into why Digit's legs are designed the way they are and most importantly how that design allows Digit to do many different tasks.

At Agility, we make robots that are made for work. Our robot Digit works alongside us in spaces designed for people. Digit handles the boring and repetitive tasks that are meant for a machine, which allows companies and their people to focus on the work that requires the human element.
