Logarithms as Conformal Mappings

Now that we have studied the exponential mapping, we can move onto the logarithm as a conformal mapping after we make a branch cut. We know that this mapping is holomorphic, but it is only conformal on the slit plane. Like exponentials, logarithms are excellent candidates for mappings of strips and for regions with deleted rays.
