Heavy Lake Effect Snow/ Blizzard Like Conditions (Buffalo, NY) (1-6-22)

January 6 2022 a lake effect snow event was underway over the Buffalo metro area, and was forecasted to have 8-12” higher amounts in isolated spots. That morning a band was already underway with rates of 2-3” /hr at times and accumulated very quickly. Road conditions deteriorated very quickly once in the lake effect band. Visibility was down to 1/4 mile at times. Gusty winds were also ongoing with the lake effect and made travel very slow. My buddy Jonny and I intercepted this band for several hours today, so I hope y’all enjoy this video on our adventure!
