ADF personnel send Christmas messages to loved ones back home
Around 1,000 Australian Defence Force personnel will spend this Christmas deployed around the globe.
Many are still stationed in the Middle East and sent messages to loved ones and friends back here at home to lift their spirits.
Others will spend the day in the Sinai, monitoring the border between Egypt and Israel.
It's a sunny Christmas for those serving in the Pacific, with dozens deployed to help in the Solomon Islands.
For a second year, Ukraine will celebrate in the shadow of Russia’s ongoing invasion, with Australian Air Force personnel in Germany helping to protect the flow of vital military and humanitarian aid.
