An Old Cowboy Tale from Bruce Stanger in Bone Idaho , Dame Darcy

Apparently starting in the 1890's cowboys who raised sheep would make a shrine in a certain spot so one would add an horse shoe, and one would put a cow bell etc. My uncle Bruce was at the ranch in Bone Idaho with his Grandpa Jack in the 50's when he was a kid and asked him what that bunch of crazy junk tied to the fence was. He responded with this tall tale about a rivalry and shoot off between Alibi Ike and Shoot Em Up Jake. He's telling this story to his own Grandson Jack in the truck when we went past the same spot today.
