The efficient market hypothesis states that you will always revert to mean even if you may have periods of crowd psychology and market distortions. I feel the efficient market hypothesis in the long run has its grounds but the market is far from efficient in truth. I believe that timing is possible and in select circumstances can even become more probable but it is never guaranteed. There is an addictive element to excitement and you have to manage that.
