The Lemmings - "Happy Loving Couples" ('86) ***BETTER VIDEO
The infamous lost magnum opus of the Lemmings circa 1986. Ambitious to a fault, the arrangement weaves the Spencer Davis Group's "Gimme Some Lovin'" into Joe Jackson's "Happy Loving Couples" in an attempt to create a push-me-pull-you plea for companionship. Charlie and the boys sing from the heart, and some truly juicy chords manage to ring out through the dense wall of sound, but as Salieri would say about Mozart, "Too many notes."
