2 weeks ago, I was back at Kohlekeller studio to record Benighted new album. For once, it was great to think only about drumming and not about micing/editing or whatever related to the recording process. The drums recording take 5 days. We took some time to try different beats/fills, and I left the studio with the feeling that we did something solid. But now begin the wait before I can share more with you. For sure, this album is one of the most challenging I have ever recorded. It is a mix between blast beat, groove AND polyrhythm. Because yes, polyrhythm can be brutal too.
